The Young Women’s Alliance scholarship program was created to give young women in Austin access to post-secondary attainment. The scholarship program offers resources and support to applicants to help completion rates. YWA is committed to reaching young women, specifically high school seniors in Del Valle ISD. By partnering with Del Valle ISD, YWA’s scholarship program helps address inequities in the Austin metro area and invests in the future of women leaders of Austin.
This year five scholarships were awarded to young women in Austin who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, academic achievement, and a strong commitment to the community. The Young Women’s Alliance was able to increase the scholarship amount in 2021 to $5,000, awarding a total of $25,000, up from $10,000 last year.
