It’s that time of year again when you’re scrolling through your Instagram and all you see are bouquets and oversized teddy bears. Well, flowers die and no one really wants an oversized teddy bear so grab your girlfriends and celebrate Galentine’s Day instead! Below are the top 5 things to do in Austin this Galentine’s Day:
1. Galentine’s Day Special at Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery
If you’ve never been to Infinite Monkey Theorem, this is the perfect time. It is an adorable place with great wine! As if that isn’t enough, they will be giving all the ladies 20% of their bar tab. They will also have yoga at 6:30pm and trivia at 7:45pm.
2. Galentine’s with The Austin Flea & Zilker Brewing
On Saturday, February 11th from 12:00pm-6:00pm, Zilker Brewing will be hosting The Austin Flea where all your favorite vendors will be set up with jewelry, textiles, home décor and even a Terrarium Bar. Yeah, you read that right! Nothing better than an iced cold beer and buying a gift for yourself. Go ahead, you deserve it!
3. Paint Your Pet at Hops & Grain Brewing
It’s time to honor those who are always happy to see you and never judge you for wanting to take a selfie with them: your pet! On Monday, February 13th from 7:00-9:00pm, Hops & Grain Brewing will be hosting a “paint your pet” evening. All pets are welcome to join, so you never have to even leave their side!
4. Titantic Feast at Alamo Drafthouse
There may be no greater love story than the one of Jack and Rose. Celebrate never letting go by heading to the Alamo Drafthouse on Tuesday, February 14th. Multiple Alamo Drafthouse locations will be featuring culinary creations inspired by the last dinner served on board “the ship of dreams”. In true Alamo fashion, they promise icebergs won’t be on the menu!
5. The Galentines Show at Dsn&Mfg
There’s no better way to show your love than to celebrate Austin’s creative gals. On Saturday, February 11th from 7:00pm-11:00pm, head to Dsn&Mfg to check out 12 of Austin’s most talented female artist. Not only will they have an open bar but all proceeds will go to GEN, Girls Empowerment Network.
