Favorite book: I don’t have a favorite book, I like to read none fiction. I read a lot of philosophy books, biographies and books about our society/economics/politics/history. Philosophy books help me develop my own ideas and be open to different perspectives. Biographies give me hope. The rest of the books I read to gain perspective.
Favorite movie: Pitch Perfect. I can watch it over and over again.

Why did you join YWA? Wanted to be more active in the community.
What’s been your favorite topic/speaker and why? April Downing because I could relate to her. I work in a male-dominated field and I feel that I have to excel in every project that I am given in ordered to be appreciated.
Goals for YWA this year: Volunteer more and be more involved.
Has there been a volunteer/community service experience that’s made an impact on you? I volunteered to review the grant applications last year. I learned so much about the different organization in Austin that help women and young girls.
What brought you to Austin? UT
Favorite thing about Austin? That you can go out to different places and always meet someone new and interesting. I love to learn about people and their stories. I think it’s fascinating.
Favorite Austin restaurant: Polvo’s on South First
