Why did you join YWA?
I was looking for an opportunity to expand my professional network in Austin, take a leadership role outside of my job, and make some new friends with similar career ambitions. I found that YWA offered all of that and more.
What is one of your favorite personal stories or experiences about YWA?
I haven’t been a member for very long, but I would say my favorite experience so far has been our monthly committee meetings because I like the casual and intimate setting that allows for getting to know other YWA members better while working on exciting YWA projects. I’m looking forward to the annual Holiday Party though!
What are some of your professional goals in the next two years?
In addition to taking on more responsibilities within my career at Austin Community College, I would like to apply to an MBA program in the next two years.
Tell something about yourself that most other members might not know.
I love to travel. I have lived in many places, including overseas, and have traveled to over 20 countries so far.
Tell us something you are most proud of.
Earlier this year I started my own business, an event branding & marketing company called RALLY+REVEL. Starting my own company is something I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m proud that I finally made that a reality.

A lamp and my copy of Sophia Amoruso’s book, #GIRLBOSS.
