The Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) is dedicated to building a community that supports, empowers and connects women and non-binary folks. Our Community Guidelines allow us to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. We expect our members, Board of Directors, Chairs, Advisory Council members, event attendees, speakers, guests and mentors to abide by our Community Guidelines. Failure to do so could result in being removed from the YWA community and/or having your membership terminated.
If you witness someone violating our Community Guidelines, please fill out this form.
We Welcome Everyone.
YWA’s mission is to support, empower and connect women. This means ALL women, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, gender identity, citizenship or socioeconomic status. We are committed to creating an inclusive community and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind.
We Treat Others With Respect.
When dealing with others, we lead with empathy and listen with the intention to understand. We do not disparage, dismiss, harass or otherwise disrespect our fellow members or others in the community. We live our values by constantly seeking to support, uplift and empower others.
We Hold Ourselves Accountable.
As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we understand that trust and personal responsibility are crucial to furthering our mission. We do our best to follow through on our promises and uphold our commitments.
We Value Trust and Privacy.
As members of this community, we may sometimes have access to private information about other members and/or the organization. We treat sensitive information with the utmost respect, never sharing with others or with those outside the organization. We exhibit professionalism and discretion in our communications and behavior. Our Board of Directors and those with direct access to private information are required to sign an Agreement to formally protect your information.
We Are Committed To Our Mission.
We are dedicated to supporting, empowering and connecting women. We affirm these values in our conduct online, in our workplace and at our events. We do not behave in a way that would undermine our mission or harm the organization. We are truly committed to the mission of YWA.
