Programs
The Programs Committee is responsible for the planning and logistics of monthly General Meetings, YWA Connect, and various workshops. With their help, YWA members gain access to phenomenal speakers, mentors, and relevant workshops.
Communications
The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the organization’s brand and promoting awareness of both YWA and the Future Women Leaders Fund internally and externally. The communications committee oversees all things marketing including: social media channels, newsletter, blogs, brand awareness, PR, and event promotion.
Community Impact
One of YWA’S pillars is “to serve”. The Community Impact team is responsible for the execution of community service opportunities for our members as well as deepening relationships with non-profits in Austin that align with YWA’S mission. One of YWA’s future goals is to say that we serve women of every generation in Austin. The Community Impact team is responsible for making sure we complete that mission. The Community Impact team is also responsible for our scholarship program and working with local high schools to promote our scholarships and reward recipients.
Fundraising
Dive into the heartbeat of empowerment with the Fundraising Committee! Our mission? To ignite a spark of generosity and drive positive change by developing and executing strategies that bolster financial contributions directly benefiting the Future Women Leaders Fund, our cherished members, and the organization as a whole. We will develop a plan for increased financial contributions, community outreach, and member-mission awareness and engagement.
Partnerships
The Partnerships Committee is a new for the 2024-205 term. It is dedicated to building and nurturing YWA’s relationships with external partners and donors. Our committee is responsible for supporting YWA’s strategic priorities by cultivating mission-aligned partnerships with corporations, organizations, local businesses, and other non-profits, in addition to developing and implementing strategies to grow a community of donors. The Partnerships Committee plays a crucial role in achieving mission-driven goals through strategic partnerships and effective donor engagement strategies. By working together, our committee maximizes organizational impact, strengthens donor relationships, and advances the mission of YWA in the community.
External Events
The External Events Committee is responsible for planning and executing the events that directly impact our philanthropic goals by raising money for our mission. By creating fantastic events, YWA is able to attract more members and potential donors. Events include:
- Annual YWA on the Fairway Golf Classic – November 2, 2024
- Annual Spring Fundraiser Party – Flourish – May 2025
Finance
The Finance Committee is responsible for all financial records, transactions and approvals for YWA and the Future Women Leaders Fund. With the oversight of the Finance Committee, YWA has continued to be a healthy organization that is able to invest in our members and community.
Membership
The Membership Committee is responsible for the cultivation of new YWA members as well as retaining current members. Committee Chairs are responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment for all members. The Membership Committee also oversees YWA’s Book Club.
Operations
The Operations Committee is responsible for managing the administrative duties within the organization as well as the youngwomensalliance.org website, SEO strategy, YWA’S data and analytics tracking, and our technology platforms.

The Internal Events Committee is responsible for the planning, organizing, and completion of both members only, and public events. Events include:
