The Young Women’s Alliance
in the Community

One of YWA’s foundational pillars is serve, focusing on giving back to the community that has helped our organization and enabled our members to grow and thrive. The Community Impact Committee organizes monthly volunteer events with our incredible partner organizations, which can be classified into two groups.

Our Mission-Aligned Partners also seek to serve and empower women+ and girls – events with these organizations include mentorship with the Girls’ Empowerment Network, helping in the planetarium with Girlstart, and sorting diapers and packing period products at the Austin Diaper Bank.

Our Austin Community Partners are important non-profit organizations that are quintessentially Austin. Volunteer opportunities with these organizations may include spending a morning gardening at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, packing meals at the Central Texas Food Bank, and walking rescue dogs at the Austin Animal Center.
